ProyectoTEATRO invita a todo Austin a presenciar el “3er Fandango de los Muertos”, una noche mística en las penumbras del panteón San José, donde la comunidad podrá ser parte de las tradiciones auténticas del Día de Muertos para honrar los recuerdos de nuestros seres queridos, con presentaciones teatrales y musicales bajo las estrellas, decorando las tumbas con miles de flores naturales de cempasúchil y velas. Los invitamos a que se caractericen de calavera y que traigan una cobija si gustan sentarse en el camposanto.

Day of the Dead in the Cemetery: Tombs, theatre, music, and opera!
ProyectoTEATRO invites all of Austin to experience the “3rd Fandango de los Muertos”, a mystical evening in the candle-lit San José Cemetery in East Austin, where the entire community can take part in the authentic traditions of Day of the Dead. From decorating tombstones with thousands of marigolds and candles to theatrical and musical performances that honor the memories of our loved ones, this under-the-stars event is unlike any in the city. Come dressed in your best Day of the Dead inspired creation and bring a blanket if you wish to sit down on the grounds.

Para llevar a cabo el fandango, necesitamos todo el apoyo de la comunidad. ¡Te necesitamos a TI! Estamos buscando voluntarios que puedan hacerse cargo de las diferentes estaciones del festival y guiar a los participantes por ciertas actividades. Desde las estaciones de decoración de tumbas a la estación de Pan de Muerto, escojan el turno que gusten y sean parte de esta inolvidable experiencia. To make the festival happen, we need all the hands we can get! We need YOU! We are looking for volunteers that can take over the various stations throughout the cemetery and guide attendees through different activities.
